Visions Ministries was founded in 1991. We began that year with "Praise in the Park", a city-wide praise festival held on August 24^th in Drake Park (on the river in downtown Bend) and produced in association with the Bend Ministerial Association. A wide variety of talents came together that day, and the event ran from early morning until after dark.. music ranged from church choirs to Christian rock bands (some of those who performed went on to join groups like Petra, DC Talk and Tait.. others now fly around the country to perform on praise teams for large national events). We also had activities for the kids (puppet ministries and such), Christian drama, guest speakers from various churches, and, of course, an invitation to receive Christ for those who desired to do so (counselors were there from churches all over the Bend area). Throughout the years following our inception, we have provided sound and lighting services to many Christian musicians and speakers, including Jeff Fenholt, Ray Boltz, The Katinas, Jeff Moore and the Distance, Nora Lam, Ron Kenoly, and Dewitt & Kim Jones.

Visions has helped many churches over the years with: technology consulting.. setting up sound & lighting systems, multimedia projectors and computer networks.. and sending out praise & worship teams to minister in other churches. Later this year we plan to begin offering seminars on Praise & Worship, Church sound/lighting/multimedia, Church office automation, Church computer network administration and Resources for men's-women's-teen-children's ministry leaders (during the winter months after the music festival season comes to an end). This year Visions applied for 501(c)3 non-profit status.
