What's New

The idea of Visions Ministries was given to our president and founder, John Peterson, by the Holy Spirit during his devotions back in 1991. It literally came through a series of visions over a period of several months. The name of the ministry comes from Acts 2:17:

"And it shall come  to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams."

The Holy Spirit impressed upon us through those visions one chapter of the Word in particular.. the 17th chapter of the Book of John, which contains Jesus' final words to His disciples, immediately prior to His arrest and crucifixion. Throughout the Bible, fathers, prophets and teachers passed on final words of advice which they considered of utmost importance to those who would follow in their footsteps. This is what the Lord wanted to impress on His followers:

"I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me." John 17:20-23

We are to be ONE body of Christ.. made up of many parts, yet still one body. Just as (in the Trinity) the Father, Son and Holy Spirit have three distinct personalities yet are one, all of the various denominations and churches that make up the body of Christ are to be one. When we realize that and begin to help each other, we will be able to accomplish the task that Jesus set before us in the Great Commission. Visions Ministries' goal is to help all churches and Christian ministries to work more efficiently, and to attain a spirit of excellence, by helping them to further their music ministries and to use the technology available to us in this day and age to bring glory to the Lord.
